Marshall Leasing has adopted BCF Wessex’s Gensen vans platform to help customers understand the true cost of operating different light commercial vehicles (LCVs). The deal marks the latest development in a partnership between the two businesses spanning more than 15 years.
The new platform will support Marshall Leasing’s sales teams and consultants, improving their ability to provide clear, evidence-based guidance on van funding and selection. Gensen vans incorporates lease-or-buy and wholelife cost calculators designed specifically for LCVs.
BCF Wessex says it enables users to look beyond headline rental or purchase prices and compare the financial implications of different vehicles and funding approaches. Users can also compare similar vans side by side, helping leasing companies and brokers demonstrate the commercial case for particular vehicles.
The relationship with Marshall Leasing stretches back to 2012, when BCF Wessex advised the leasing company on the launch of its inaugural salary sacrifice proposition. Marshall Leasing relaunched its salary sacrifice offering using Gensen salary sacrifice in 2023.
Marshall Leasing subsequently adopted Gensen cars for wholelife cost modelling and has now extended its use of the software suite to include Gensen vans. Jeff Whitcombe, founder of BCF Wessex, said: “We’re delighted to see Marshall Leasing build on the benefits and confidence they’ve gained from using our Gensen car and salary sacrifice software by deploying Gensen vans.”
It adds another important capability to its leasing proposition, and, from a BCF Wessex perspective, working with an experienced leasing company such as Marshall Leasing gives them valuable insight into the needs of customers and sales teams, helping them shape Gensen in a changing market, Whitcombe added.
The partnership will develop further in 2026, with Marshall Leasing working directly with BCF Wessex to pilot forthcoming enhancements to Gensen salary sacrifice. These include CRM integration and a series of enhancements that will improve the usability and reporting available to Marshall Leasing’s sales and marketing team.
