The Lamborghini Revuelto SV has set a production car lap record at the Hockenheim racetrack in Germany, with a time of 1:41.6. Lamborghini test driver Marco Mapelli achieved this feat, offering a glimpse of the upcoming model ahead of its official reveal on August 14. This record, while not widely followed, provides an early showcase of the Revuelto SV’s capabilities on a former F1 circuit.
The Revuelto SV, short for Super Veloce (Italian for ‘Super Fast’), is the latest addition to Lamborghini’s lineup, with SV appearing on every big V12 flagship Lambo except the Countach. While details are scarce, the standard Revuelto already boasts an impressive 1,001bhp, a 0-62mph time of 2.5 seconds, and a top speed of 217mph, leaving enthusiasts curious about how much further the SV can push these limits.
Spy shots reveal a more aggressive design, featuring a prominent front splitter, side skirts, and a large fixed rear wing that replaces the standard car’s active spoiler. A rear diffuser and a visible roll cage, likely for track testing, further emphasize its performance focus. Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann stated, “Every element of the car has been developed with the goal of taking performance to an even higher level, enhancing the driving engagement and emotion that have always defined our brand. The record achieved at the Hockenheimring is the result of this approach and demonstrates how innovation, technology and engineering expertise can be translated into tangible, measurable results.”
