Jaguar has unveiled the 2028 Type 01 sedan, a design-led electric vehicle that packs three electric motors producing a net 1015 horsepower and 1007 pound-feet of torque. The Type 01 can reach 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, making it the most powerful road car Jaguar has ever built.
The Type 01’s design is characterized by its long hood, cabin, and rear end, which tapers off to a unique rear end. In terms of handling, the Type 01 features standard all-wheel-steering and air springs with adaptive dampers. The car’s weight distribution is perfectly balanced at 50:50, which should allow it to handle nicely. Deliveries of the Type 01 are estimated to start in mid-2027, with pricing expected to land in the $120,000 to $130,000 range.
